How are the artworks packaged?

At ARTDAFEN, we treat the packaging process with the same level of care and precision as the painting itself. We adhere to a strict, professional packaging protocol designed to withstand the rigors of international shipping. Depending on whether you ordered a rolled canvas or a framed piece, we utilize specific protection methods to ensure your artwork arrives in pristine condition

• For Rolled Canvas: Rolled carefully and shipped in a heavy-duty, crush-resistant plastic/cardboard tube.
• For Stretched/Framed Art: Protected with corner guards, wrapped in bubble wrap, and shipped in a reinforced cardboard box.

Ships in a cardboard box

For large artworks that are stretched or framed, we use strong, protective cardboard boxes. Each piece is supported with plenty of cushioning so it arrives safe, flat, and ready to hang.

Ships in a crate

For small stretched or framed artworks, or for very large and heavy pieces, we use custom-built wooden crates. These crates are designed for global art shipping, tightly sealed, and packed with materials that keep the artwork securely in place throughout its journey.

Ships in a tube

For canvas-only orders, your piece will arrive rolled in a dent-resistant tube. This method is especially safe for oversized works and also keeps shipping costs lower. Once it arrives, you can easily have it stretched (placed on wooden stretcher bars) or framed by a local framer.

For works on paper, we highly recommend sending them straight to your framer upon delivery for careful, professional unrolling.

Shipping & Customs:

Total Estimated Delivery Time: 10–20 business days (This includes 5–10 business days for Production & Approval, plus 5–10 business days for Shipping).

• How long does the transit take? Generally 5–10 business days via FedEx, DHL, or UPS.
• Is shipping free? Yes! We offer free worldwide shipping.
• Does free shipping include customs/taxes? While shipping is on us, customs duties are separate. The good news is that typically, the majority of our packages arrive without any customs charges. If your local customs office does assess a fee, it will be your responsibility. Need help with customs? Feel free to contact us—we are here to assist!
• Note: Custom sculptures or large mixed-media works may require additional transit time due to crate handling.

Production & Approval: 5–10 business days

• The Process: To ensure enduring quality, our artists strictly employ the classical Three-Layer Technique. We allow for complete oxidation and curing between the Underpainting, Modeling, and Glazing stages. This patience prevents pigment separation and ensures the artwork's longevity.
• Note on Framing: If you select Solid Wood, the frame must undergo mandatory fumigation and quarantine inspectionfor export compliance. Other materials are exempt from this process and may be processed faster.
• Collaborative Review: Throughout this creation phase, we will provide high-resolution photos and videos. You are encouraged to review the details and request refinements—whether in color balance or texture—until the piece perfectly aligns with your vision.
• Shipping Policy: We adhere to a strict approval-based shipping policy. Your artwork will be dispatched only after we receive your final confirmation. However, to prevent delays and ensure your order arrives within the estimated timeframe, if we do not receive a response within 24 hours of sending the review images, we will consider the artwork approved and proceed with shipping by default.

If you have not consistently received confirmation emails, it is possible that our emails landed in your spam/junk folder, or were blocked by email filtering mechanisms. In such cases, you may not find the painting confirmation email in your spam folder. You can contact us directly using the contact information at the bottom of the article.

Where do your artworks ship from?

We believe in complete transparency and direct-to-collector value. To eliminate intermediary delays, every piece is securely packaged and dispatched directly from our own master studio:

Who takes care of the delivery?

Depending on your location and the size of the artwork, we work with reliable carriers such as FedEx, DHL, TNT, and occasionally specialist art delivery companies for extra-large pieces.

Which countries do you deliver to?

We deliver almost everywhere our carriers operate — so whether you live in New York, Dubai, or even a tiny island, we’ll find a solution. If you’re unsure, just reach out and we’ll make it happen.

How much does shipping cost?

Nothing extra — shipping is always included in the price, no matter where you live.

Is the delivery of the artwork insured?

Yes, absolutely. We believe your peace of mind is part of the art collecting experience. ARTDAFEN provides full transit insurance for every shipment. From the moment it leaves our studio until it arrives safely at your doorstep, your artwork is completely protected—at no extra cost to you.

If I buy several artworks, will they be delivered at the same time?

In most cases, yes. When possible, we ship multiple artworks together so they arrive at the same time.

Can I have artworks delivered to another country or person?

Absolutely. We’ll deliver to the address you specify in your order. Normally, we’ll coordinate the delivery date with the recipient listed. If it’s a gift or a surprise, just let us know — we love helping with special moments!
