On the afternoon of October 30, during their visit to Shenzhen, the delegation went to Dafen Oil Painting Village for a tour and engaged in discussions and exchanges regarding the overseas expansion of the cultural and creative industries and the development of industrial parks. Both sides held talks on the development history of Dafen Oil Painting Village and its overseas export situation. Taking this opportunity, they aimed to further deepen cooperation between the two regions in the cultural and artistic fields and actively expand cultural exchanges. During their visit, the delegation also visited shops in Dafen Oil Painting Village to gain insights, conducted in-depth research on the scale and development prospects of the Dafen industry, and expressed the hope of promoting cultural industry enterprises overseas and strengthening practical cooperation between Shenzhen and the United States in the cultural and creative sectors.

The Sister Cities International is the oldest and largest citizen diplomacy non-profit organization in the United States, and serves as the national hub for various sister city organizations across the country. It was founded in 1956 by former U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Since its establishment, the organization has facilitated sister city partnerships between over 400 member cities in the U.S. and more than 2,000 cities in over 140 countries around the world, including 328 cities in China.
