On May 20, 2025, the sub-venue of the 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Expo in Dafen Oil Painting Village grandly opened at the Dafen Art Museum. The event is hosted by the Bujie Street Office of Longgang District, Shenzhen, and organized by the Cultural Development Center of Dafen Oil Painting Village in Longgang District, Shenzhen.

Members of the Party Leadership Group of the Shenzhen Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles, including Jin Xiu, the full-time vice chairman; Gao Sinuo, deputy secretary of the Party Work Committee and director of the office of the Buji Street; Liu Bin, second-level researcher at the Longgang District Party Committee Publicity Department; Wang Jingle, deputy secretary of the Party Work Committee and director of the People's Congress Working Committee of Buji Street; Chen Xiangbing, dean of the School of Arts at Shenzhen University and vice chairman of the Shenzhen Artists Association; Yang Xiaoyang, vice chairman of the Shenzhen Artists Association and vice dean of the Shenzhen Painting Academy; Liu Yajing, full-time vice chairman of the Longgang District Federation of Literature and Art; Xiao Xinxia, deputy director of the Longgang District Public Cultural Service and Industry Promotion Center; Hao Qiang, vice chairman and secretary general of the Shenzhen Artists Association; Zhang Yicao, member of the Buji Street Party Work Committee and third-level researcher; He Wei, member of the Buji Street Party Work Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee; Wang Peiguo, member of the Buji Street Party Work Committee, head of the Armed Forces Department, and captain of the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Team; Wen Zhenfei, vice chairman of the Shenzhen Artists Association; Zeng Weihua, deputy director of the Buji Street Office; and Xie Qiongliang, fourth-level researcher of Buji Street.The director of the Comprehensive Coordination Center of Shenzhen East Station, Qiu Yonghang, the vice-chairman of the Shenzhen Artists Association, Ma Shunxian, the vice-chairman of the Shenzhen Artists Association and deputy director of the Dafen Art Museum, Liang Jian, the resident deputy secretary-general of the Shenzhen Artists Association, Lu Shengshe, the deputy director of the Dafen Oil Painting Village Cultural Development Center and deputy director of the Dafen Art Museum, Zhang Ke, the chairman of the Dafen Cooperative Company, Hong Bilun, the first person of Dafen Oil Painting Village, Huang Jiang, as well as heads of relevant departments from the district and street offices, artists from the Shenzhen Artists Association and Dafen Oil Painting Village, and media friends attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Gao Sinuo, the deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Buji Street and the director of the office, reviewed the 20-year development history of Dafen, marveling at the power of art to resonate with the times. Under the policy support of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Government, the Longgang District Committee and Government, and the professional guidance of organizations such as the China Artists Association, the Guangdong Artists Association, and the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Dafen Oil Painting Village has continuously improved its industrial development infrastructure, developed independently owned intellectual property products, and produced a steady stream of original works. It has successively established high-end original exhibitions such as the Shenzhen Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale, the National (Dafen) Young and Middle-aged Oil Painting Exhibition, and the Dafen Local Artist Promotion Project Exhibition, as well as public activities like 'Museum Night' and 'Dafen Art Creative Market,' allowing art to step out of galleries and into the lives of the public, leading to an increasingly diverse art form.

In her opening speech, Jin Xiu, a member of the Party Committee and full-time Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen Literary and Art Federation, affirmed the development of Dafen Oil Painting Village. As the first sub-venue of the Cultural Expo, it has carved out a uniquely extraordinary path over the past two decades, becoming an important epitome of Shenzhen's cultural industry's development. The success of Dafen Oil Painting Village has not only injected strong impetus into the economic take-off, cultural prosperity, and improvement of citizens' quality of life in Shenzhen and Longgang District, but it has also provided valuable experience and reference for the innovative development of the domestic cultural industry and art industry base.

The theme of this year's Dafen sub-venue is 'Interesting Longgang, Explore Dafen', showcasing a series of exciting cultural activities that combine characteristics, technology, innovation, and digital display to promote the upgrading and development of the Dafen oil painting industry.

In the era of artificial intelligence, Dafen Oil Painting Village is also keeping pace with the times. The cultural digital character 'Guanlong Xiaofen', independently developed by Dafen Oil Painting Village, has officially debuted and been integrated with AI data models, allowing it to interact directly with on-site audiences and answer related questions. Meanwhile, this year's Cultural Expo will also innovatively hold an AIGC Creative Competition, providing a platform for global AIGC creators and art professionals to learn, communicate, and showcase their work, exploring the possibilities of AIGC in the field of art and culture.

The Boundary Comprehensive Media Art Exhibition is a cross-border exploration of multiple mediums in contemporary art, also examining the multidimensional possibilities of artistic creation in the digital age. Artists use painting, sculpture, installation, and imagery as their creative mediums, subverting the narrative expression of a single medium, breaking boundaries, and innovating development. The Creative Coexistence New Wave Art Exhibition selects original trend artists and galleries from Dafen Oil Painting Village that possess significant industry height and influence, reflecting the development power of industry integration through unique perspectives and innovative methods. This art exhibition also employs online display and promotion to connect to the physical sales of offline galleries, while exploring online digital transactions. Digital copyright registration is conducted for the exhibited works, in collaboration with Guangzhou Digital Exchange, to re-create and design cultural elements of the art works. Additionally, compliance and rights confirmation of cultural data elements will be traded on the Shuwen Yi platform, promoting a deep integration of the digital economy with the traditional cultural and artistic industry, advancing the IP output of Dafen artworks, as well as secondary and new creations, and developing a vast backend industrial chain.

Relying on the platform of the Cultural Expo, the Dafen Oil Painting Village sub-venue has successfully held its 21st session, achieving a leap from 'Dafen Manufacturing' to 'Dafen Creation.'
