Lao Tang is often a little domineering because of his bold personality, with the aura of a big heroine, and the flowers painted by Lao Tang are bright and vibrant, in a bunch of works, her flowers can always quickly form a visual tension, deeply attracted to you. At the same time, Lao Tang's personality is deep and very sensitive and delicate, always taking care of the feelings of everyone around her, and her works always have a subtle tenderness and vague sentimentality. Once this complexity and richness is transformed into a picture, it naturally has a unique texture that stands out from the rest.

Lao Tang drew well when he was in graduate school.At that time, she liked Arica, and she painted a lot of detached figures, with smooth lines and simple shapes, and a thin and transparent color, and I thought what a talented, free soul this is!

After graduation, we went to Shanghai and Shenzhen. The huge Shanghai suddenly made Lao Tang a little confused and at a loss. On the one hand, she is fond of the flowers and plants in the small courtyard to release her emotions, and on the other hand, she tries to find a new direction for creation. During that time, her flower-filled courtyard attracted our envy and filled the daily life of Lao Tang. From time to time, Lao Tang cut some roses and roses to decorate his residence, and smeared a few paintings on the flowers. It was at that time that flowers unintentionally entered her life and creation, and gradually became the most important part of her personal life, accompanying her through difficult and happy times, and becoming the safest and softest promised place that carries her emotions and hearts.

The flowers of the old soup are fresh and refined. Freshness lies in the high purity and cleanliness of the color, revealing innocence and romance; The extraordinariness lies in the freshness and chic of her compositions, and the flowers are always in an environment of detachment, like a quiet person alone in a corner in the noise, or the protagonist who leaves the lights in the noisy theater, neither arrogant nor humble to self-pleasure.

These flowers are related to space, to time, they are like companions who accompany her at every juncture, and they also stand firmly with her in the choices they make, they constitute these past and stories with her, they are her texts and her tools, relying on each other and trusting each other, when the works are suddenly laid out on the walls and floors of the studio, I suddenly find that they are so rich and heavy. And these flowers have nothing to do with space, nothing to do with time. Flowers are her dialogue with the world, and also her struggle against the outside, there are beauty and cruelty, real and illusory, traditional and contemporary, poetic and realistic, playful and stable, warm and light, open and packaged, affectionate and leaving, persistent and abandoned, compassion and helplessness, telling and forbearance...... I don't know when those flowers have become old soup, and old soup has become those flowers, they have achieved each other and witnessed each other, and in those love and entanglement, struggle and compromise, they have all matured.

And this exhibition is a frank meeting between flowers and souls.
